The Team
Pauline Martin

A deep knowledge of the intricacies of societies and their royalty collection and distribution systems, fierce attention to detail and a tireless advocacy for songwriters has made Pauline Martin the ideal candidate to run Spirit’s Administration department. In 4 years with Spirit, she has vastly improved the company’s royalty tracking and auditing protocols, upgraded licensing and song registration systems and helped source and hire seasoned execs from publishing, societies, record and media companies, creating independent publishing’s most dynamic administration team. Prior to joining Spirit, Pauline served as Vice President/Department Head for Foreign Sync & Print at EMI Music Publishing, brokering major commercial deals for international clients with such blue chip companies as Johnson & Johnson and XM Radio. Before that, she oversaw global mechanical licensing as EMI’s Director of Special and Foreign Markets, during which time she was pivotal in developing automated licensing and registration systems. Pauline also served in the Business Affairs department at New York indie label Tommy Boy, where she managed artist releases and handled sample clearances, master clearances and sync licensing.
