Benny Mardones
Blue eyed soul singer Benny Mardones is best known for the hit “Into The Night,” which conquered Billboard’s Top 20 singles not once, but twice in 1980 and again in 1989. Additional fan favorites include “Crazy Boy,” “Run To Me,” “Sheila C” and “Thank God For Girls” – part of a prolific output which saw Benny release a series of records through the 1980s and 1990s on the Polygram and Curb labels. A documentary detailing Mardones’ wild ride in the music business was recently completed and will be released shortly, along with a new CD of classic recordings, as well as a new studio CD. “Into The Night” will be featured on the soundtrack to Disney Films’ The Perfect Game.
