Gary Corbett
Multi-instrumentalist Gary Corbett, who has served as music director for a variety of pop and rock artists from Kiss to Debbie Gibson, often found himself collaborating with the artists he served. In the mid 1980's, he teamed up with Cyndi Lauper to write “She Bop,” a song that would go on to become a Top 5 smash from the artists’ Grammy-winning breakthrough album She’s So Unusual. “She Bop” has been used in several feature films in recent years and was recently included in the new Sony release Cyndi Lauper: The Essentials and covered by Lauper on her recent The Body Acoustic.
