The New York writer-producer has been writing R&B crossover hits for several decades. He’s perhaps even better known as an acclaimed musician and musical director for such high profile television shows as the famed Showtime At The Apollo, NBC’s music/lyrics series The Singing Bee and is currently the music director on Fox's American Idol. His catalog includes the early 1980’s Diana Ross hit “Work That Body,” as well as songs written specifically for hit NBC series Saturday Night Live and Showtime At The Apollo. A cover of “Work That Body” was a dance hit for RuPaul.
