While traditional radio and record promotion are transforming rapidly in the digital age, there are more tools than ever available to proactive publishers to collaborate with big brands to revitalize interest in classic songs and the legacies of the veteran songwriters and artists who created them as well as to generate the kind of buzz for new songs, songwriters and bands which will help them break out from the pack and establish long term careers.

Spirit’s sync licensing team regularly leverage their close relationships with media companies, landing songs in the most visible spots – as main or end titles for franchise films, in montage and final scenes of top television dramas or in national and global advertising campaigns for major consumer brands – and amplifying their marketing power by working with producers to feature our writer/artists, along with their names and images, within their projects and related websites and blogs; to include songs on soundtracks and make them available as custom digital singles; and to co-promote our songs and songwriters in a multitude of ways across their global distribution platforms.

We’re finding just as many branding opportunities in the new media space, working with leading video game producers to include and promote custom versions and downloadable digipacks of our writer/artists new and classic tracks; with ring tone producers to co-create exclusive tones and mixes; with smart phone and tablet applications makers to design unique music and artist-branded apps; and with creators of next generation web-based programming and entire online worlds where our clients can interact with music fans directly in ways never possible before.

We work with our writers, their managers and labels to connect them with a broad range of non-traditional retailers, consumer product and new media companies to create and sell custom branded CD’s, digital download premiums and merch; we collaborate with talent agencies to match iconic songs and veteran and newer writer/artists with high profile actors, television personalities, athletes, comedians and others, co-branding music and merch across their projects and platforms with the potential to reach huge new audiences; we introduce our clients to independent and alternative record companies and distributors as well as having our own label imprints through iTunes and other digital stores through which we coordinate featured promotion; we publicize our writer/artists releases and tours via traditional and digital press and help land our clients as musical guests on daytime and prime time talk/variety shows and arrange call-ins, appearances and dedicated channels on satellite and web-based radio; and we work with our writers to help them develop a robust and dynamic presence on the web, so they’re fully empowered to directly share their music, musings and lifestyle with as many fans as possible.
