The two primary trailers promoting Lionsgate’s big summer actioner THE EXPENDABLES 3 feature the unmistakable riff and hook from Billy Squier’s rock classic “The Stroke”.
The first trailer, which debuted in April, is soundtracked by a trashy cover by Columbus, Ohio metal band XFactor1. Subsequent trailers feature Eminem’s 2013 hit “Berzerk”, which samples the original’s signature drums, guitars, and vocals. The film again reunites action vets Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Snipes in a crime caper based around revenge.
