Nashville, TN (February 20, 2020) – Songwriter and recording artist Frank Ray has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Spirit Music Nashville/Fluid Music Revolution.
Named by Rolling Stone as one of the 10 artists you need to know, Frank Ray is a former police officer who left his full time job to pursue his passion as a country music artist. He has since been sharing his talent with audiences throughout the United States as well as leading aspiring Hispanic artists in what he calls the beginning of a modern Latino Country movement. Frank Ray’s music embodies what the Los Angeles Times calls the fastest growing demographic in country music—Latino millennials.
Ray’s solo debut EP Different Kind of Country and the title track of the same name quickly gave rise to Ray’s popularity and the long-awaited emergence of a Hispanic artist in country music. His second EP, Tequila Mockingbird was released in 2018 and garnered attention from networks such as the nationally televised CBS Evening News, USA Network, and NBC’s “Today Show”. His song “The Drive” went to #1 on Texas regional radio.
“Spirit Music Nashville and Fluid Music Revolution are beyond excited to be working with Frank Ray,” said Frank Rogers, CEO, Spirit Music Nashville. “Over the last several years, we have watched as Frank has developed into a seasoned singer, songwriter and performer. We feel like the sky is the limit for Frank and now it is time for the world to find out about him. Here we go!!!!”
“I’m so excited to be a part of the Spirit Music Nashville/ Fluid Music Revolution team,” said Frank Ray. “They’ve taken me under their wing since I first started coming to Nashville and I’ve always felt like part of the family. The company is forward-thinking, the staff is both attentive and fun to work with and the writers are beyond amazing! As an artist, I’m confident that the collective wealth of knowledge at SMN/Fluid is sure to break out some hits for me and many others for years to come!”
Frank Ray and has shared the stage with Keith Urban, Luke Combs, Granger Smith, Kip Moore, Brett Elderedge, Wynona Judd, Josh Turner, Toby Keith, Dan + Shay, Hunter Hayes, Maddie & Tae, Big & Rich, and Luke Bryan, to name a few. He is currently touring in support of his EP.
Ray grew up in Columbus but lives in Las Cruces, about 50 miles north of El Paso, Texas.
