Fox’s breakout cop comedy BROOKLYN NINE-NINE turned to The Placemints’ Freddy Rawsh when they wanted an over-the-top jam for a raucous dance scene.
The band’s “Fist Pump Song” is featured as “Floorgasm,” the dance group led by wacky precinct administrator Gina that performs a custom routine for Captain Holt at the Community Center. The series, starring Andy Samberg, Andrew Braugher, and Stephanie Beatriz, follows a crew of misfit detectives in the fictional 99th Precinct in NYC as they create mayhem and occasionally bust bad guys.
