The fourth episode of Showtime’s new comedy-drama series, ROADIES, featured two uses of the Pete Townshend deep cut, “They Are All In Love.”
In addition to the original Who version, the episode also featured an on-air cover by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James.
Created by Cameron Crowe, ‘Roadies’ follows the travails of a road crew helping a rock band with a major multi-city tour. In addition to “They Are All In Love,” the first season also features two other key Spirit copyrights: The Who’s “Happy Jack” and Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is A Place On Earth.”
“They Are All In Love” was released on The Who’s seventh studio album, 1975’s ‘The Who By Numbers.’
