Last week at the 2017 Irish Post Awards, Spirit B-Unique writer/producer Johnny McDaid recieved the “Oustanding Contribution to the Music Industry” award! The ‘Snow Patrol’ band member and writer, has continued his success in the music industry by writing songs for some of the biggest names in the business. Some recent credits include eight tracks off Ed Sheeran’s ‘Divide’ including the worldwide hit “Shape of You”, P!nk’s new single “What About Us”, Rag’n’Bone Man’s album ‘Human’ and many many more. Johnny McDaid has become a world renowned songwriter due to his vulnerability and ability to extract emotions from any and every artist he’s worked with.
His wife, Cortney Cox, put together a very sentimental video that aired at the 2017 Irish Post Awards, highlighting the impact his music has had on the very artists that he’s worked with, and the impact he’s had on a personal level, over his career in the music industry.
