David Tolliver
Kentucky-born David Tolliver has been a prominent figure in the Nashville music scene for nearly a decade. As one-half of the chart-topping country duo Halfway to Hazard, Tolliver, alongside Chad Warrix, made an immediate impact with their debut single “Daisy” in 2007. The song not only reached the Top 40 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart but was also selected as iTunes’ Single of the Week on August 6, 2007, introducing the duo to a national audience.
Following the success of “Daisy,” Halfway to Hazard secured a coveted spot as the opening act for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s 2007 *Soul2Soul* tour, further establishing themselves as rising stars in country music. Their momentum continued in 2008 when they received a nomination from the Academy of Country Music for *Duo of the Year.* Shortly after, the duo joined Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean on the *Live Your Voice* tour, performing in front of massive crowds across the country.
Halfway to Hazard followed up their debut with a second album, releasing the heartfelt single “I Know Where Heaven Is” on July 20, 2009. Beyond his work with the duo, Tolliver has made a name for himself as a sought-after songwriter, penning songs for country superstars like Tim McGraw, Jerrod Niemann, Brantley Gilbert, Wynonna & The Big Noise, Neal McCoy, and many others.
Most recently, Halfway to Hazard has made a return with their latest single, “Heaven on Down the Highway,” which is set to hit country radio soon. With a career marked by powerful songwriting, dynamic performances, and industry recognition, David Tolliver continues to leave his mark on country music as both an artist and a songwriter.
