Adam Wood has signed to Spirit Music Nashville and country music superstar Lee Brice’s Pump House Music. Adam is a multi-talented songwriter/producer/singer/musician who has had cuts by many artists including Lee Brice, Scotty McCreery, Elvie Shane, Trace Adkins and Tyler Braden. SMN Signs Adam Wood.

“I can’t say enough about how excited I am for Adam, Frank and the team over at Spirit,” said Lee Brice. “Adam has been poised to break out huge as a multi-talented songwriter and I can’t wait to have a front row seat for it. There’s nothing like being at a place that is excited and appreciates you and Spirit has their stuff so together and have every reason to be excited about Adam. The first song I heard before I ever met Adam put me on the floor and he has never let me down since.  Better jump on this train y’all, it’s bout to bust out the station.”

“There is just something about the warmth and hustle at Spirit Music Nashville that really excited me,” said Adam Wood. “I couldn’t be happier to join this team and to continue my publishing relationship with a world-class artist and writer like Lee Brice.”

“When Lee approached us about meeting with Adam, it was a no-brainer” said Frank Rogers, Chief Creative Officer, Spirit Music Group/CEO, Spirit Music Nashville.  “I have had the privilege of writing with Adam and know first hand how talented he is in a writing room.  Combine Adam’s talent, drive and personality with Lee’s crazy world and the sky is the limit!!  We could not be more excited to welcome Adam and Lee to the Spirit family!”

Adam Wood is a songwriter and producer, best known for his strong lyrical and melodic sense. He was raised in Colbert Heights, Alabama near the musically rich Muscle Shoals area, and graduated from the University of North Alabama with a with a degree in Commercial Music. In 2004, he moved to Nashville to devote his work full time to songwriting and producing. Adam has since had songs recorded by Lee Brice, Trace Adkins, Scotty McCreery, Lonestar, Tyler Braden, Delta Rae, Smithfield, and many more. Notable cuts include “More Beer” and the title track “Hey World’ from Lee Brice’s 2020 record; “Hey Whiskey” by the duo Smithfield; and Tyler Braden’s single “Try Losing One” which reached the top spot on Sirius/XM the Highway’s Top Thirty Countdown.

When Curb Records recording artist, Lee Brice, isn’t selling out arenas, writing and recording songs, or building new brands like American Born whiskey, you’ll find the family man with his wife Sara, two young boys, and daughter. Meanwhile, with over 3 billion on-demand streams, and over 3.6 billion spins on Pandora, Brice continues to enjoy massive success at country radio, digital streaming services, and on the road. He recently reached #1 at Country Radio with “Memory I Don’t Mess With,” which consecutively follows three prior #1s: ASCAP’s 2021 Country Song of the Year “One of Them Girls,” “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Carly Pearce, and “Rumor,” which was nominated in the category Single of The Year at the 55th Annual ACM Awards. One of the most-played country artists of all time on Pandora, he was the second country artist behind Keith Urban to receive the Pandora Billionaire plaque. Lee is also a GRAMMY nominee, a CMA and ACM award winner, and he’s taken nine radio singles to Number One: “A Woman Like You,” “Hard to Love,” “I Drive Your Truck,” “I Don’t Dance,” “Drinking Class,” “Rumor,” “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” “One of Them Girls,” and “Memory I Don’t Mess With.” Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and others have recorded his songs. At the 54th Annual CMA Awards, Lee took home the prize for Musical Event of the Year for his song with Carly Pearce, “I Hope You’re Happy Now.” At the 56th ACM Awards, “I Hope You’re Happy Now” won Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year, and Lee and Carly Pearce performed the song live. Lee’s latest album, Hey World, features new radio single “Soul.”

2022 has marked a banner year for Spirit Music Nashville. In September of this year, Spirit Music Group announced the appointment of Frank Rogers to Chief Creative Officer. Over the past year, 70% of Spirit Music Nashville’s current writer roster has had at least one charted single. This includes nine #1 singles, ten Top 10 singles, and 11 Top 30 songs in 2021 as well as ACM Single of the Year “I Hope You’re Happy Now” – Carly Pearce and Lee Brice (via Jonathan Singleton) and Album of the Year Starting Over by Chris Stapleton. The company also publishes Music Row’s Song of the Year, “Hell of a View” – Eric Church (via Monty Criswell). The company received four CMA nominations for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year and took home six ASCAP Country awards. Spirit Music Nashville/Spirit Fluid writer Frank Ray earned the title of being most added song on country radio by a new artist (by impact day) driven by his single “Country Looks Good On You” (the song was also produced by Spirit Music Nashville CEO, Frank Rogers who is a multi-platinum producer/songwriter in his own right with 43 #1 hits, 75+ Top 20 songs and multiple RIAA certified multi-Platinum/Platinum/Gold records to his list of production/songwriting credits). The company also has a publishing interest in the top two country songs of the decade and top two country albums of the decade with “Meant To Be” and “Body Like A Backroad” and Traveller/Chris Stapleton and Montevallo/Sam Hunt.
