As the rapping front man for C+C Music Factory, Freedom Williams burst onto the pop scene in 1991 with the classic, “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” a dance pop standard. The similarly successful follow-ups, “Things That Make You Go Hmmmm…” and “Here We Go (Let’s Rock & Roll),” cemented the group’s stature and made them a staple in the clubs.

During his stint with C+C, Williams contributed songs to other artists, including the popular “(You’re My One And Only) True Love” by the group Seduction.

In the mid-1990s, Williams took his poetically lyrical raps solo, releasing such potent tracks as “Voice Of Freedom.”

Most recently, Williams has been writing and producing for his new protégé, Bulan.

Williams’s songs have been placed in the DreamWorks comedy, ‘Old School,’ Warner Brothers’ ‘Scooby-Doo,’ Disney’s ‘Chicken Little,’ Universal’s ‘Jarhead,’ and in the current national advertising campaign for Papa John’s pizza chain.
