Jerry Livingston

Songwriter

One of the leading songwriters in American popular music from the 1930s through the 1950s, Jerry Livingston composed the music for such global standards as “The Twelfth Of Never,” “Mairzy Doats,” and “It’s The Talk Of The Town.” His “Blue And Sentimental” became a jazz standard, performed by such greats as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Count Basie. His contribution to the Sinatra library included the classic “Close To You,” as well as “Fairy Tale” and “Under A Blanket Of Blue.”

Jerry also composed the score to Walt Disney’s timeless ‘Cinderella,’ the Broadway show ‘Molly,’ the UCLA Fight Song, and the globally recognized theme to ‘The Bugs Bunny Show,’ “This Is It,” which Spirit creatives recently placed in a commercial campaign for Canadian tourism.
