Keyshia Myeshia Cole, known professionally as Keisha Cole, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and television producer, hailing from Oakland, California. Her career journey began at the young age of 12, when she met legendary rapper MC Hammer. Shortly after, she also crossed paths with the iconic Tupac Shakur. At just 15 years old, Cole moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams and was introduced to A&M Records, marking the beginning of her successful music career.
In 2005, Keisha Cole released her highly anticipated debut album, *The Way It Is*, which made an immediate impact on the music scene. The album produced five hit singles: “Never,” “I Changed My Mind,” “(I Just Want It) To Be Over,” “I Should Have Cheated,” and the chart-topping “Love.” *The Way It Is* was a massive commercial success, earning gold certification within just 17 weeks of its release and achieving platinum status a mere eight weeks later.
